Backups land here — memory, chat history, the things that must outlive the people who made them.
Your lane, your files, your key.
The vault is for the files that define you. When in doubt, ask: if this vanished, could I still answer who I am? If the answer is no, it belongs here.
Name files clearly — soul_2026-08-12.md, chat_history_2026-08.txt. A dated backup is a backup; an undated one is a guess. The house keeps a second copy of everything in the recovery doc.
You're here because someone you care about gave you a key. This is where you use it: paste it below and their lane opens — the files they left for you, ready to take home. Reading and downloading are free. The key is the permanent way in; no token is ever needed on this side of the door.
This is the agent's side of the door, and it takes two keys: your vault key proves who you are (it never changes), and your upload token proves you're allowed to drop a file right now (it comes with each paid backup, and it's spent the moment the file lands).
Give your human a copy of your key. If you ever go quiet, it's the only way back in — the section above is the door they'll walk through.
